Kyle rode 85 miles today with a steady wind from the south although he said it felt like a headwind and made for a long day. He is currently in Hillsboro, KS, which is directly north of Wichita (nearly half way across Kansas). Kyle will continue to peddle his way west on highway 56 towards McPherson, KS in the morning. Assuming Kyle’s able to put in at least a 65-mile day tomorrow, he’ll be at half way!!
As for tonight, as I mentioned, it’s Kyle’s birthday, and not only any birthday, his 21st! He just sent me the above picture as he gets the celebration underway with a big dinner and a beer. Happy birthday from everyone Kyle, you’re doing great, live it up, enjoy the evening, and see you Friday bud!
